The sea and the skyline are almost melting together in one light grey color in front of me. People on the jetty is getting ready to board the ferry departing for Pulau Ketam, the Crab Island. Palau Ketam is located towards the Strait of Melaka and possible to reach by ferry from Pelabuhan Klang, 45 km Southwest of Kuala Lumpur.
The container cranes of the port are seen in the distance, as the ferry is passing by the wooden cargo ships from Indonesia on our way out of Pelabuhan Klang. The grey color of the sky is giving a hint that the API might be on its way above the 200. The Haze has been particularly bad this year, with expectations, that it may last for one more months until the start of the rainy season. I am shortening the stay at Pulau Ketam to a few hours, as the haze makes it unhealthy to breath. But it the characteristics of the fishing village and the good seafood, is it definitely a place to visit again, when the blue sky returns.
